Chikara Matsumoto "CHIKARA"
Matsumoto Chikara
graf media gm is proud to host “CHIKARA", by painter and visual (animation) artist Chikara Matsumoto, from February 16 thru March 23, 2008. As Matsumoto, with his painting and animation skills, visualizes the imaginary world in our subconscious, he shows us the unknown we had a sense of as a child, the world we see in dreams and what we have yet to see. It is a way for him to confront other beings that exist in his heart and an act to reawaken the “CHIKARA (power) of the heart". Through the process of making what was unseen in the heart as something see-able, the paintings and visual work that emerges from it circulates back to the heart. His world, which repeats itself in this way, allows us to feel the CHIKARA (power) that enables us to realize the realm we have yet to see. This exhibition will consist of Matsumoto's new work as well as his previous work, and will be a great opportunity to encounter the creative world of Chikara Matsumoto.
